PRISON

Abaphathi Boshuni put together a substantial new Maskandi release with PRISON, a 12-track album arriving on 28 August 2026. With every song credited solely to the primary artist, the project keeps its focus firmly on Abaphathi Boshuni from beginning to end.

The album opens with “Malume Shutha” before moving through “Unamalini”, “Ngingeza Ngigijima” and “Itshitshi Lomgunyathi”. Its title track, “Prison”, appears fifth, sitting near the centre of the opening half rather than taking the first or final slot.

Further into the tracklist, “Bajola Kunjalo” is followed by “Kwamhlabuyalingana”, “Akangibaleli” and “Izinqumo Zami”. There are no listed guest appearances across the album, making PRISON an entirely solo-led set and giving Abaphathi Boshuni all 12 track credits.

The closing stretch includes “Ulele kobandayo” and “Fire By Force”, while “Ngisize Nkosi” brings the album to an end. That final run rounds out a full-length Maskandi release with a clear sequence and no bonus tracks or featured cuts listed.
