Ashiwawa

Ntencane keeps things compact on Ashiwawa, a two-track Maskandi EP released on 28 August 2026. Both songs are collaborations, with Senzo Zondi appearing across the full project and Ayanda Ntanzi joining the line-up on its second track.

The EP opens with its title track, “Ashiwawa”, where Ntencane links up with Senzo Zondi. As the first of only two cuts, it introduces a release built around a small, clearly credited group of collaborators.

“Kwavela Ngaye” completes the tracklist and expands the guest list, featuring both Ayanda Ntanzi and Senzo Zondi alongside Ntencane. It also gives Senzo Zondi a presence on every track, while Ayanda Ntanzi makes a single appearance on the closing song.

With no solo recordings in the sequence, Ashiwawa is a collaboration-led Maskandi release from beginning to end. Its brief runtime makes it easy to take in as one complete listen, with the title track leading directly into the three-artist closer.
