Obaby Mama

Shanela puts together a concise five-track Maskandi EP titled Obaby Mama. Released on 9 September 2026, the project balances solo cuts with two collaborations featuring Nunu and Swidi wabantwana.

The EP opens with “Inkomo” before moving into “Ngingadlulela phambili”. Its title track, “Obaby mama”, sits at the centre of the tracklist and brings both guest artists into the release.

Shanela handles three songs alone, including the fourth track, “Konakele”. Nunu and Swidi wabantwana return for the closing song, “Owesbili”, giving the same guest pairing two appearances across the project.

With only five tracks, Obaby Mama is a focused addition to the current Maskandi release calendar. Check out the complete EP and its collaborations with Nunu and Swidi wabantwana.
