Sobzeen puts together a packed Maskandi album with Nguni Tales, a 16-track release dated 4 September 2026. The project moves from the solo opener “War Cry” into an extensive run of collaborations, bringing a sizeable cast of guests into the fold while keeping Sobzeen at the centre of every track.
“Siphe Amandla” features Zama Nkosi and Ssips, followed by “Amasango” with Born Kxng and Ssips. Sobzeen then links up with Mc Toxic, Mono League, UDUBE and Banzy Slangwe on “Maqondana”, before Bassie and Olley RSA join “Law’leka”. Further down the tracklist, “Ngifuna Lo” brings together Mono League, Mc Toxic, Zama Nkosi and Soul Expression.
Several names appear more than once across Nguni Tales. Ssips returns on “Jikelele” and “Ubambo Lwakho”, the latter also featuring DUALITY and AurabonicRSA. Banzy Slangwe joins “Amathuba”, appears alongside El Maestro and UDUBE on “Buyisa”, and later features on “Sengimtholile” with Beekay Monalayzzar and UDUBE. Beekay Monalayzzar and UDUBE also appear on “Ung’hurtlie” alongside Abo Mvelo.
The back end keeps the guest list moving. Shuni Wenkani features on “Bazali Bami”, while “Ubumnandi” includes Twistedsoul, NtoMusica and Nele SA. Philharmonic and Deejay Hoodie join Sobzeen on “Sekele”, before WalkMaTall appears on the closing track, “Nguwe”.
With only “War Cry” credited solely to Sobzeen, Nguni Tales is built around a broad collaborative line-up across its 16 songs. Maskandi followers can check out the full album and work through its many featured appearances from start to finish.
